Pizza recipe

Here's a recipe for a classic margherita pizza:

Ingredients:

- 2 cups of warm water

- 2 teaspoons of sugar

- 1 teaspoon of active dry yeast

- 3 cups of all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon of salt

- 2 tablespoons of olive oil

- 1 cup of tomato sauce

- 8 ounces of fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

- Fresh basil leaves

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-7 minutes until yeast is activated.

2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.

3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a circle or rectangle, depending on your preference.

7. Place the dough on a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.

8. Spread tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

9. Top with sliced mozzarella cheese and fresh basil leaves.

10. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.

11. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
